
Jared Markowitz is an insurance coverage litigator in our New York City office with over a decade of experience in insurance law. He is among Mound Cotton’s newest class of partners. His litigation practice focuses on first-party commercial property insurance coverage and, in particular, business and contingent business interruption insurance, builder’s risk, communicable disease coverage, as well as fire, flood, hurricane, and weather-related insurance claims. Jared also has extensive experience advising on matters of reinsurance, federal procedure, appeals, and third-party liability coverage.
Jared graduated in the top third of his law school class where he earned the Insurance Law Dean’s Award for Boston University School of Law. He also earned the highest marks for his comprehensive independent study work on Reinsurance Law. Mr. Markowitz graduated in the top ten percent of his class at New York University, where he majored in politics.
